About APPS

APPSThe annual event of Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) under International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF).
APPS would be held between 27th June to 3rd July 2008 in Khonkaen, the heart of I-saan (Northeast of Thailand). Thailand embraces a rich diversity of natures and traditions and Khonkaen is a famous city for beginning to discover the northeast's many unique attractions. For bringing in fruitful experiences, this APPS will be designed to offer you many great opportunities both educational and cultural in the perfectly mixed program from us.

The concept of this APPS is "The Pharmacy role in rational drug use" which is very important for the pharmacy profession. In the past, there was a lack of pharmacist in many area which cause poor healthcare service through out. When healthcare systems improved the problems was solved. But now, there is a new issue about over needed drug dispensing and irrational drug usage. People rely on medication a lot and forget to take care themselves which is much cheaper and effective. In this APPS, we would like to share views and discuss on alternative and ideas on this topic. Furthermore, we would bring everyone to a closer view on the needs that community wants from the pharmacy profession in our field trip.
