Instructions for Transportation

RCs standby time and place

There would be RCs waiting at 3 places in Bangkok which are

• Suvarnabhumi international airport
• Don Muang airport
• NCA bus station There would be RCs waiting at 3 places in Khonkaen and Udonthani which are
• Udonthani airport
• Khonkaen airport
• NCA bus station - Khonkaen branch
  

Time period : 06.00 – 21.00 and other particular cases
Date : 25th June, and 27th – 28th June

Transportation back to Bangkok after the symposium would be similar to this.

Important !!!

• Please note that all transportation fees to Khonkaen is excluded from the registration fee.
• For domestic flights : Don’t forget to book your flight at least 3 hours from your arrival time at Suvarnabhumi airport.
• For NCA bus tickets : In cases of flight delays, the RCs will buy a the tickets according to the time you arrive at Suvarnabhumi airport so you could catch the bus on time.
• The only transportation from Suvarnabhumi airport to Don Muang airport or to Nakornchai air bus station (NCA) is Taxi. The RCs will do the communicating part for you.
• Please inform us about your traveling details in the arrival-departure form and email it to inforc@apps2008.com by June 10^th, 2008. So we could arrange transportation for you.
• If we don’t receive your arrival and departure form by this deadline, you would have to make your own arrangements.

Since Thailand is still a developing country, please note that the transportation system here might be a little unorganized so we would like to apologize ahead in case of any inconvenience.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport : International airport

All international flights will land here and unfortunately there are no flights to Khonkaen from here. All the domestic flights are at the Don-Muang Airport.

 

 

 

Don-Muang Airport Terminals : Domestic Terminal

Don-Muang Airport has 3 terminals. Terminal 1 and 2 are the Domestic terminals both located in the same physical building, the domestic terminal connected to the international terminals by an elevated walkway.

 

 

How to get to Khonkaen

Domestic Airlines :
Flight times : BKK to Khonkaen is 55 minutes
                     BKK to Udon Thani is 1 hour

	Thai Airways International Bangkok-to-Khonkaen : Departure time 06.15, 11.15, 18.45 Bangkok-to-Udon Thani : Departure time 06.30, 12.50, 18.35
	Airasia Bangkok-to-Udon Thani : Departure time 14.10, 18.50
	Nok Air Bangkok-to-Udon Thani : Departure time 6.00, 12.25, 16.40

Follow these instructions to get to Khonkaen :

Step 1) Take an international flight from your country to Thailand, which you will land in Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Step 2) On Day 0, there will be RC’s waiting for you there and will lead you to transfer to Don-Muang airport.

Step 3) Then take a domestic flight to Khonkaen airport and meet up with the Group leaders who with escort you to the hotel. For the domestic flight from Don-Muang airport to Khonkaen airport, we recommend you to make a flight reservation with Thai Airways International airline.

Follow these instructions to get to Udon Thani :

Step 1) Take an international flight from your country to Thailand, which you will land in Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Step 2) On Day 0, there will be RC’s waiting for you there and will lead you to transfer to Don-Muang airport.

Step 3) Then take a domestic flight to Udonthani airport and meet up with the Group leaders who with escort you to the hotel which is 2 hour bus ride.

      For the domestic flight from Don-Muang airport to Khonkaen airport, we recommend you to make a flight reservation with Thai Airways International airline, Nokairs and Airasia.

Note:

• Please note that the registration fee excludes airway tickets, and bus fees.
• You should make flight reservations to Udonthani airport/Khonkaen airport at least 3 hours interval from your arrival time at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
• Traveling from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Don-Muang airport might take an hour, depending on traffic.
• So check in time is about an hour before take off.
• The RCs will provide a bus transport between airports and bus stations.
• All flight time may change due to the Airlines policy, please be careful and check the timing correctly.
  

The Cheaper Way to Khonkaen : THE NCA (New** May,6th 2008)

The other way of getting to Khonkaenis by Nakhonchai air, VIP bus. Slower with a 6 hours bus ride but cheaper. The VIP bus is provided with many facilities such as air-conditioning, movies, snacks and sanitary on board.
